1. Open "LungCancer_JNS_final.dta" in "Stata or LungCancer_JNS_final.txt." 

2. "LungCancer_JNS_final.dta" has 1860 observations. See manuscript for a description of the dataset and definition of the variables. 

3. Run "2018-2-19-Cancer Risk_JNS.do" to produce all graphs and tables.

4. Main outcomes variables in "LungCancer_JNS_final.dta" are:

CancerRisk: Original continuous variable that indicates the estimated probability that a smoker contracts lung cancer over his or her lifetime. 
OverestCancerRisk: Binary variable indicating respondents who overestimate the lifetime lung cancer risk of a smoker 
UnderestCancerRisk: Binary variable indicating respondents who underestimate the lifetime lung cancer risk of a smoker 

DeathRisk: Original categorical variable that indicates the estimated 5-year survival rate of a lung cancer patient.
OverestSurvival: Binary variable indicating respondents who overestimate the survival rates of lung cancer patients.

TotalLungCancerRisk: Calculated total risk of a smoker to die of lung cancer, continuous, product of "CancerRisk" and "DeathRisk"
UnderestTotalRisk:Binary variable indicating respondents who underestimate the lifetime risk of a smoker to die of lung cancer.
