Adam, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Data information sheet I. Data and access The data used for the empirical analysis stems from the Establishment Panel of the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) of the German Federal Employment Agency (BA). For more information on the data, see: https://fdz.iab.de/en/FDZ_Establishment_Data/IAB_Establishment_Panel.aspx (as of July 31, 2018) For a detailed description of the dataset and the contained variables, see: doku.iab.de/fdz/iabb/Variablenliste_en.xlsx (as of July 31, 2018) The data can be accessed either on-site or remote access can be provided after an initial stay on-site at the Research Data Centre of the Institute for Employment Research. For more information, see: https://fdz.iab.de/en/FDZ_Data_Access/FDZ_On-Site_Use.aspx (as of July 31, 2018) https://fdz.iab.de/en/FDZ_Data_Access/FDZ_Remote_Data_Access.aspx (as of July 31, 2018) II. Program codes and additional information The analysis has been carried out using the software Stata v14. For the extraction and compilation of the data used, program codes provided by the Research Data Centre of the Institute for Employment Research have been modified and used. The following codes have been submitted to the publisher in ASCII format: i) codes provided by the Institute for Employment Research, modified master.do 1_syntax_panel_1993_1998.do 2_syntax_panel_1999_2014.do 3_Zusammenspielen.do 4_Variablen_und_Wertelabels.do 5_Werteuebertragung.do ii) codes for formatting the data, conducting the analysis and robustness checks 1F-Variables.do 2F-Regressions.do 3F-Robustness.do The results can be replicated by copying the ASCII text into a Stata do-file. The following additional information has been added to the original data: (harmonized consumer price index, base year 2001, Eurostat). The information has been submitted to the Research Data Centre as a *.dta-file. The name of the variable in the program code is hvpi. year hcpi 1998 .962 1999 .968 2000 .981 2001 1 2002 1.014 2003 1.023 2004 1.042
